Frequently Asked Questions

Is one microphone enough, or should I get the Duo?

The Solo is a single microphone with the USB-C receiver, which is all you need for presenting to camera, a solo podcast or a single-person vlog. If you will ever record a two-way interview or a conversation, the LARK A2 Mini Duo adds a second microphone on the same receiver, and the Duo adds a charging case as well. All three share the same microphone and audio specifications.

Will it work with my phone and my camera?

The receiver is USB-C, so it plugs straight into a USB-C phone, tablet or computer. For a camera, connect the receiver output to the camera microphone input. Transmission is 2.4GHz with adaptive frequency hopping, rated to 200m line of sight, which is far beyond what an interview or a piece to camera needs.

What is Safety Track, and when would I use it?

It captures a second copy of your audio at a lower level alongside the main take. If a speaker suddenly gets loud and the main track clips, you still have an unclipped backup to cut to in the edit. Together with AI auto-limit it is the feature that rescues a recording you cannot ask to be repeated. The microphone records at 48kHz/24-bit with AI noise cancellation for noisy locations.
