The Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Extreme doubles the ATEM Mini Pro's input count to eight HDMI sources and adds the keying and layering capability of a much larger switcher. If you have outgrown four inputs — multi-camera worship, esports, panel discussions, hybrid conferences — this is the model that removes the ceiling.

Eight inputs, all converted
8 x HDMI type A inputs, 10-bit HD, two channels of embedded audio each. Every input has its own re-sync and frame rate and format conversion, so cameras, laptops and games consoles running at different standards all lock without an external converter.

Outputs and connections
2 x HDMI program outputs and 2 aux outputs, so you can feed a stage screen and a confidence monitor independently. 2 x USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 ports for external drive recording, webcam output, control and hardware panels. 2 x 3.5mm stereo mini jack audio inputs with mic plug-in power, plus a 3.5mm headphone output. 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet.

Production features
4 upstream keyers, 2 downstream keyers, up to 4 advanced chroma keyers, up to 4 linear and luma keyers, 9 total layers, 2 DVEs with borders and drop shadow, 5 pattern generators and 2 colour generators. Two media players with fill and key draw from a 20-still media pool.

Streaming and recording
Built-in streaming engine for RTMP and SRT over Ethernet, or share a computer's connection over USB-C. Blackmagic Cloud Stream Router supported. Records the program output to an external USB-C drive as H.264 .mp4 with AAC audio. Note this model records program only — for separate recording of every input, see the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO G2.

Multiview
Configurable 16, 13, 10, 7 or 4 up views in HD, so all eight sources plus program, preview and status can be monitored on a single screen.

Audio
Eleven input by two channel mixer with on/off/AFV per channel, level and peak metering, 6-band parametric EQ, compressor, gate, limiter and master gain.

Formats
Inputs accept 720p50/59.94/60, 1080p23.98 to 60 and 1080i50/59.94/60. Output and streaming standards 1080p23.98 to 60. 4:2:2 YUV, 10-bit, Rec 709. HD only.
