Who is the PTU-5200-4H for?

Anyone who needs four wireless voices at once without a large budget: worship teams, karaoke nights, school and community events, conferences and small live shows. You get four handheld transmitters and one receiver, so there is nothing further to buy to put four people on microphones. Pickup is cardioid, which helps keep background noise and foldback out of the mix.

What does automatic frequency hopping actually do?

If the channel a transmitter is using starts picking up interference, the system moves itself to a cleaner frequency instead of dropping out or buzzing. In a venue with other wireless gear in the building, that is what keeps the microphones usable without someone standing at the rack retuning channels in the middle of an event.

Can I use a headset or lapel microphone with this system?

Not with this kit. The 4H is supplied as four handhelds. If you need hands-free microphones, the PTU-5200-2H2B is the same system supplied as two handhelds plus two bodypacks, and a bodypack takes a lapel or headset mic. The receiver is the same either way, so choose the transmitter mix that matches how people will actually use them.
