True Diversity

Two antennas listening. Every word lands.

In a real room the signal bounces off walls, people and steel. At some spots those reflections cancel out — that's where cheaper single-antenna systems crackle or drop.

  • Each mic has its own pair of antennas mounted at opposite ends of the receiver, so they never sit in the same dead spot.
  • The receiver picks the stronger signal, moment to moment. The A / B indicator on the display shows which antenna is working.
  • Live RF and AF meters for each channel so you can check signal and level before anyone walks on stage.

Illustration only. Switch True Diversity off to see what a single-antenna receiver would do in the same room.

Channel planner

100 channels per mic. Try it.

Slide to choose a channel for each mic and watch the receiver and the mic screens update — with the real frequencies from the AIR-B2 channel table.

Mic 1 screen
Mic 2 screen
✓ Both mics on separate frequencies — good to go.

Tip: check the ACMA Channel Finder for TV channels active at your address and avoid them. Mic 1 covers 650.1–669.9 MHz (CH 000–099), Mic 2 covers 673.5–693.3 MHz (CH 100–199).

IR Sync

Point. Press. Paired.

No menus, no frequency charts. Set the receiver channel, point the mic's IR window at the receiver and they lock together.

STEP 01

Choose a channel

Use ▲ ▼ on the receiver to pick a clear channel for that mic.

STEP 02

Press SET

Press SET until the display shows F-----. The receiver is now waiting to match.

STEP 03

Point the mic at IR

Aim the mic's IR window at the receiver's IR window. The frequency is sent across and matched automatically.

Up to 100 m

Walk the room. Walk the hall.

Up to 100 metres line-of-sight gives presenters, pastors and performers the freedom to move — from the lectern to the back row and out to the foyer.

Real-world range depends on walls, people and other RF in the room. For best results keep a clear line of sight to the antennas.

Rechargeable

Charge once. Run all day.

Each mic runs on a removable 18650 lithium cell — about 10 hours per charge. Snap on the magnetic charging cable between events, or swap in a spare cell and keep going.

Based on ~10 hours runtime. Actual runtime varies with battery age, transmit power (1–10 mW) and temperature.

Connect

Plug into anything with an input.

Two balanced XLR outputs — one per mic — for a mixer or digital console. Plus a 6.35 mm mixed output that combines both mics for a powered speaker or amplifier.

Made for Australia

RCM certified. Built for Australia.

The AIR-B2 is RCM certified and tested to AS/NZS 4268. It operates between 650.1 and 693.3 MHz — inside the 520–694 MHz band set aside for wireless microphones in Australia.

  • Nowhere near 694–820 MHz, where wireless mics can no longer be used in Australia. Many cheap imports still ship on that band.
  • RCM and CE marked, tested to AS/NZS 4268 and EN 300 422-1.
  • 12-month warranty with local support from MSM AV in Bundoora, VIC.

FAQ

Good questions.

Is the AIR-B2 approved for use in Australia?

Yes. It’s RCM certified and operates between 650.1 and 693.3 MHz, inside the 520–694 MHz band set aside for wireless microphones in Australia. Just pick channels that aren't used by local TV — the ACMA Channel Finder shows what's active at your address.

Can I run two AIR-B2 systems in the same room?

Yes — set every mic to a different channel so no two mics share a frequency. Try the channel planner above to see how it works. For four mics in one receiver, have a look at the AIR-B4.

How do I pair a mic with the receiver?

Choose a channel with ▲ ▼, press SET until the display shows F-----, then point the mic's IR window at the receiver's IR window. It matches automatically.

How long does the battery last, and can I replace it?

About 10 hours per charge. Each mic uses a removable 18650 lithium cell, so you can keep a charged spare on hand or replace the cell as it ages.

Can I plug it straight into a powered speaker?

Yes. Use the 6.35 mm mixed output (cable included) — it combines both mics into one feed. For separate control of each mic, use the two XLR outputs into a mixer.

What's the difference between the XLR outputs and the mixed output?

BALANCED-A and BALANCED-B each carry one mic, so you can EQ and level them separately on a mixer. MIX-OUT sums both mics into a single 6.35 mm output.

Can I lock the receiver so nobody changes the settings?

Yes. Long-press the ▲ button to lock or unlock the keypad. The padlock icon on the display shows the current state.

Featuring two independent wireless microphone channels, True Diversity reception, rechargeable handheld microphones and IR synchronisation, the AIR-B2 delivers the features you need for professional wireless audio without the complexity of a larger multi-channel system.

Whether you need two microphones for presenters, speakers, performers or a worship team, the AIR-B2 provides a practical and professional wireless solution that is easy to set up and operate.

🎤 Two Wireless Microphones. One Complete System.

The AIR-B2 includes two rechargeable handheld wireless microphones and a dual-channel receiver, allowing two microphones to operate simultaneously.

It is an ideal choice when you need a reliable two-microphone setup for:

  • Churches and houses of worship

  • Conferences and seminars

  • Corporate presentations

  • Schools and educational facilities

  • Community halls

  • Wedding and function venues

  • Live performances

  • Panel discussions

  • Events and functions

  • Professional AV installations

If your application requires more microphones, the TrueWave Pro AIR-B4 provides four independent wireless channels in a professional 1U rackmount configuration.

📡 True Diversity UHF Wireless Reception

Wireless microphones need to perform reliably when you're on stage or moving around a venue.

The AIR-B2 uses True Diversity UHF reception to help maintain a stable wireless connection and reduce the risk of signal interruptions.

With an operating range of up to 100 metres line-of-sight, presenters and performers can move freely around the venue while maintaining a strong wireless connection.

⚡ Quick & Simple Setup

Getting your wireless microphones ready for an event shouldn't take complicated programming.

The AIR-B2 gives you 100 selectable channels per microphone, so you can move to a clear frequency for your venue in moments.

IR synchronisation makes pairing the handheld microphones with the receiver simple — point the microphone at the receiver and you're ready to go.

🔋 Rechargeable Handheld Wireless Microphones

The AIR-B2 is designed with convenience in mind.

Both handheld microphones feature removable 18650 rechargeable lithium batteries, providing approximately 10 hours of operation per charge.

The included magnetic charging cables make recharging simple and convenient, helping ensure your microphones are ready for your next service, presentation or event.

🎚️ Professional Audio Connectivity

The AIR-B2 receiver provides individual balanced XLR outputs for each wireless microphone channel, allowing you to connect each microphone directly to a mixer, digital console, amplifier or professional PA system.

A 6.35 mm mixed output is also available when you want to combine both microphone channels into a single output.

This flexible connectivity makes the AIR-B2 suitable for both portable PA systems and permanent AV installations.

📶 100 Selectable Channels Per Microphone

Wireless environments can become crowded, particularly at venues where multiple wireless devices are being used.

The AIR-B2 provides 100 selectable channels for each microphone, giving you flexibility when selecting suitable operating frequencies.

With two independent wireless channels, you can configure the system to suit your particular venue and application.

🇦🇺 RCM Certified for Australia

The AIR-B2 is RCM certified and CE marked, tested to AS/NZS 4268 and EN 300 422-1. It operates between 650.1 and 693.3 MHz, inside the 520–694 MHz band the ACMA sets aside for wireless microphones in Australia.

Television broadcasting shares this band, so pick channels that are clear at your location. With 100 selectable channels per microphone, there is plenty of room to move.

Wireless microphones can no longer be used between 694 and 820 MHz in Australia. Many imported systems still ship on that band — the AIR-B2 does not go near it.

Backed by a 12-month warranty with local Australian support.
