True Diversity

Eight antennas listening. Every word lands.

In a real room the signal bounces off walls, people and steel. At some spots those reflections cancel out — that's where cheaper single-antenna systems crackle or drop.

  • Every mic gets its own pair of antennas — eight BNC antenna inputs in total, spread across the back of the receiver.
  • The receiver picks the stronger signal for each mic, moment to moment, so four people can move around the room at once.
  • Live RF and AF meters for all four channels so you can check every mic at a glance before the service or session starts.

Channel planner

Four bands. 400 channels. Try it.

Each mic works in its own frequency band, so the four mics can't land on top of each other. Slide to choose channels and watch the receiver and mic screens update.

✓ Four mics, four bands — good to go.

Tip: check the ACMA Channel Finder for TV channels active at your address and avoid them. Running more than one wireless system in the same room? Give every mic its own frequency.

Mic gain offset

Soft speaker or loud singer? Match them.

Each AIR-B4 microphone has a gain offset from 0 to 21 dB in 3 dB steps. Give a quiet presenter a lift, or keep a powerful vocalist out of the red — before the signal ever reaches your mixer.

Illustration of how gain offset shifts the level. Set it once per mic during soundcheck.

IR Sync

Point. Press. Paired.

No menus, no frequency charts. Pick a channel, press SET, point the mic's IR window at the receiver — then repeat for the next mic. Four mics ready in about a minute.

STEP 01

Choose a channel

Use ▲ ▼ next to that mic's display to pick a clear channel.

STEP 02

Press SET

Press SET until the display shows F-----. That channel is now waiting to match.

STEP 03

Point at the nearest IR

Aim the mic's IR window at the IR window on the same side (left for mics 1–2, right for mics 3–4).

Up to 100 m · 1U rack

Rack it once. Walk the whole venue.

The receiver slides into any standard 19" rack — one unit high — alongside your mixer, amps and DSP. Up to 100 metres line-of-sight lets all four presenters roam the room.

Real-world range depends on walls, people and other RF in the room. For best results keep a clear line of sight to the antennas — in a closed rack, consider front-mounting the antennas.

Rechargeable

Charge once. Run all day.

All four mics run on removable 18650 lithium cells — about 10 hours per charge. Four magnetic charging cables are included, so every mic is ready for the next service, session or show.

How many events per charge?

3

~1 h left over

Based on ~10 hours runtime. Actual runtime varies with battery age, transmit power (1–10 mW) and temperature.

Connect

Four XLRs for the desk. One jack for the speaker.

BALANCED-A to D give every mic its own channel on a mixer or digital console. MIC OUT combines all four into one 6.35 mm output for a powered speaker or amplifier.

Made for Australia

RCM certified. Built for Australia.

The AIR-B4 is RCM certified and tested to AS/NZS 4268. All four bands sit below 694 MHz — inside the 520–694 MHz band set aside for wireless microphones in Australia.

  • Nowhere near 694–820 MHz, where wireless mics can no longer be used in Australia. Many cheap imports still ship on that band.
  • RCM and CE marked, tested to AS/NZS 4268 and EN 300 422-1.
  • 12-month warranty with local support from MSM AV in Bundoora, VIC.

FAQ

Good questions.

Is the AIR-B4 approved for use in Australia?

Yes. It’s RCM certified, and all four bands sit below 694 MHz, inside the 520–694 MHz band set aside for wireless microphones in Australia. Just pick channels that aren't used by local TV — the ACMA Channel Finder shows what's active at your address.

Can all four mics be used at the same time?

Yes. Each mic has its own channel, its own pair of antennas and its own XLR output, so all four work simultaneously and independently.

Will it fit in my rack?

Yes — the receiver is 1U and fits a standard 19" equipment rack. It measures 480 × 240 × 50 mm. If the rack is closed, mounting the antennas at the front gives the best range.

How do I pair a mic with the receiver?

Choose a channel with ▲ ▼, press SET until the display shows F-----, then point the mic's IR window at the IR window on the same side of the receiver. It matches automatically. Repeat for each mic.

One of our speakers is very quiet — can I boost just that mic?

Yes. Each microphone has a gain offset from 0 to 21 dB in 3 dB steps, and each channel has its own + / − volume on the receiver.

How long does the battery last, and can I replace it?

About 10 hours per charge. Each mic uses a removable 18650 lithium cell, so you can keep charged spares on hand or replace cells as they age.

Can I plug it straight into a powered speaker?

Yes. Use MIC OUT (6.35 mm, cable included) — it combines all four mics into one feed. For separate control of each mic, use the four XLR outputs into a mixer.

Two mics or four?

If you only ever need two voices, the AIR-B2 is a compact half-rack alternative with the same mics and features. Choose the AIR-B4 for worship teams, panels or anywhere three or more people speak.

Professional 4-Channel Wireless Microphone System for Events, Worship & Professional Audio

Take your live audio setup to the next level with the TrueWave Pro AIR-B4 Quad-Channel UHF Wireless Microphone System — a professional wireless microphone solution designed for events, houses of worship, conferences, schools, venues, presentations and live productions.

With four independent UHF wireless microphone channels, True Diversity reception, rechargeable handheld microphones, Auto Scan frequency selection and IR synchronisation, the AIR-B4 gives you the flexibility and reliability you need when multiple speakers or performers need to be heard clearly.

The system combines professional features with simple setup, making it an excellent choice for both permanent installations and mobile event production.

🎤 Four Wireless Microphones. One Professional System.

The AIR-B4 includes four rechargeable handheld wireless microphones, allowing up to four microphones to operate simultaneously through a single 1U rackmount receiver.

Whether you're running a church service, panel discussion, conference, school event, corporate presentation or live performance, four independent channels give you the flexibility to manage multiple presenters or performers without needing multiple receivers.

📡 True Diversity UHF Reception

Wireless reliability matters when you're on stage.

The AIR-B4 uses True Diversity UHF reception to help maintain a stable wireless connection and minimise the risk of unwanted signal interruptions. With an operating range of up to 100 metres line-of-sight, the system provides plenty of freedom for presenters and performers to move around the venue.

⚡ Fast & Easy Setup

Setting up multiple wireless microphones shouldn't be complicated.

The AIR-B4 features Auto Scan to help find a suitable operating frequency, while IR synchronisation makes pairing each microphone with the receiver quick and straightforward.

Simply scan, sync and start using your microphones.

🔋 Rechargeable Wireless Microphones

Forget constantly replacing disposable batteries.

Each AIR-B4 handheld microphone uses a removable 18650 rechargeable lithium battery and provides approximately 10 hours of battery life per charge.

Magnetic charging cables are included, making it easy to keep all four microphones ready for your next event.

🎚️ Professional Audio Connections

The 1U rackmount receiver provides four individual balanced XLR outputs, giving you independent control of each microphone through your mixer, digital console, amplifier or PA system.

A 6.35 mm mixed output is also provided when you want to combine the four microphone channels into a single output.

This makes the AIR-B4 suitable for everything from compact PA systems to professional installed audio systems.

🇦🇺 RCM Certified for Australia

The AIR-B4 is RCM certified and CE marked, tested to AS/NZS 4268 and EN 300 422-1. It operates between 606.3 and 693.3 MHz, inside the 520–694 MHz band the ACMA sets aside for wireless microphones in Australia.

Television broadcasting shares this band, so channels need to be clear at your location. Auto Scan finds them for you.

Wireless microphones can no longer be used between 694 and 820 MHz in Australia. Many imported systems still ship on that band — the AIR-B4 does not go near it.

Backed by a 12-month warranty with local Australian support.
